Hands at Work

In some ways this was a Christmas Eve visit to another world. We were invited to an afternoon tea at one of the big houses up the road.  My sister and J are very musical and involved in lots of music and theatre groups and it was through those connections that this invite arrived.  There was good singing involving everyone, some performances, and wonderful food. I really enjoyed the time there.  HarlingDarling has described the event very well, so I'll send you to her words rather than repeating them here.
J's Mum and her pupil were playing a duet on the Steinway grand  and J was filming them on his phone. I liked the way he held his hands and the facts that 4 hands were skipping across the piano keys.
