Middle White.
A pleasant but cold morning, it was decided some fresh air and a chance for the kids to "burn of some beans" (as in full of beans) was what was required. So out of the choices of park we settled on Graves Park, always a favourite.
Clickychick, Kanyl and I wandered round the "petting farm" taking shots while ArcaneSpark and the kids headed for the play area. This sow and her litter caught my attention. You can't tell from the shot but she is a Middle White a once popular breed which very nearly became extinct in the late 60s early 70s. Going by the spots on the young she was mated to a Gloucester Old Spot another breed which has been brought back from the brink over the last 50 years or so.
After a quick trip to the cafe for a warm and drink it was home for a lovely lunch with everybody gathered together before we loaded the car and headed north. Fortunately the trip home was trouble free and we arrived in good time and safely.
