Diary of an Edinburgher

New toy

Elizabeth, in between family duties, came and took Archie out again - lucky boy. It was a sunny very cold day again, and so they went to the Links with one of the new frisbee rings that Rufus gave him. Unfortunately, the new frisbee ring is just about no longer - luckily he's got a bundle of 'em. For quite some time, it was dangling round his tail, and he didn’t seem to realise. In fact, he wandered off to chat (and sniff) with another dog, with it dangling there, as if it was meant to be. Elizabeth took some photos of this new doggie fashion statement, but they were too far away to use.

We both had an hour in the gym. I managed an extra ten minutes on the cross trainer, which nearly killed me. The pool was almost empty, so I plopped slipped gracefully in there as well. It was warm and peaceful and most pleasant. I got a couple of foam dumbbells (are you allowed to call them that these days?) and flounced around for a good half hour.

In the afternoon JR popped down town to return another unwanted item, while Archie and I relaxed and watched an old (recorded) programme on Concorde, which was interesting.

It was a peaceful night for Archie (and us).

Happy Birthday T!
