Let out to play

The last thing I expected to see on a walk in the Yorkshire Dales would be two Chelsea Pensioners. They were two lovely old soldiers and as they put it had been 'let out to play'. They were to be guests of honour at British Legion fundraiser in the evening and their minders were giving them a tour of the Dales. They said they were being treated as a couple of celebs, they had already been for a walk around Grassington Village where they had been dragged into a WI coffee morning and treated to coffee and cakes. They were a lovely couple of blokes and I would have loved to have chatted some more.
