A lovely Winters day
I was up early waiting for the sun to rise which seems to take forever so it was still dark when the first of the pine martens came. I crept to the back door and slowly opened it and waited for him to go exploring. He ran along the pots but as soon as he heard the camera he stopped, looked , ran off and peered at me from behind the arbour. The next one arrived about 30 minutes later.Much smaller than the first , I did the same and this time managed to get a few shots of her in the snow and coming out of the urn that she had jumped into.
It was cold out and very icy.It took a while to clear the car .The Hill was ok as the tiny gritter/snow plough has been up. I had a surprise message from the Community Council to say that they were donating some of the donations from the Cathedral carol concert to Brownies and Rainbows and would I go down to the Cathedral at 10 for some photos to be taken.I much happier behind the camera but hopefully the photos will come out ok and I’m not pullling a funny face ;)
We then went for a walk at the Point.Beautiful views of the snow covered hills.
After a cup of tea at home ,the sun was shining brightly by now, we went to Cromarty for another walk.Hardly any snow here, the tide was out so we walked along the waters edge looking for interesting stones and sea glass. Found a few pieces of turquoise coloured glass.
After dinner we watched the film King Arthur mainly because some of it was filmed on Skye.Bit of a strange film but we enjoyed it once we got used to it,Spotted David Beckham ;)
