A hot summer evening

In the Winter, river laps along close to the top of that sandy little bay.
In the heat of the evening, the crickets were singing and a few hapless rabbits ventured from their burrows - only to have the living daylights scared from them by my two over excited dogs. Not a single rabbit was harmed ( well, maybe emotionally) by the exercise and eventually the exhausted canine pair were put on leads and calmly led back to the car. They were utterly out of oomph!
