Hamster Face

When the squirrels eat the bird food, at least they sit still and eat it. Chipmunks just load up their little mouths, run away, stash it and come back for more until it's all gone. They are cute though.

More bird photography, plus a trip up to the log cabin. It's beautiful in the fall. Always slightly nervous going up there, because it's private property and one day, somebody must actually be living in it. On the other hand it's kind of traditional to walk there.

Terrific hairy woodpecker came and gave our balcony a good peck this afternoon - didn't have the camera handy unfortunately. But still, that's the fourth kind of woodpecker that I've seen in our garden in the space of a week (downy, red-bellied, pileated and hairy).
