Flybe

Today's the day ........................... for a night flight

We awoke to a winter wonderland of snow this morning.

At any other time, this wouldn't have been too bad - but today we were flying off to the Outer Hebrides and at this point of the day, Glasgow Airport was closed.   Not a good start but there was nothing to say that our flight had been cancelled and so, undaunted, we set off on the train for Glasgow.

There was plenty of snow about, but the roads were mainly clear.  Our good friend Stuart gave us a lift out to Glasgow Airport, where it still seemed that our flight to Stornoway was on. And indeed, it took off - slightly late because of a lost passenger - but otherwise on schedule.

Somehow, that little plane found its way in the dark, across the Minch to touch down on Lewis, barely an hour later.  The wonders of modern technology . . . . . . . . . . . . .
