An Early Morning Stroll

The one morning where I could have slept in, we had to get up early to pack the car and check out by 10am.  We were organised last night though and were ready by 9.30am.  I went for a quick stroll to get today’s blip and then dropped the keys off and we were on our way by 10am.

We’ve had a good journey with only one quick toilet stop, and arrived in Calais at 4.45pm.  We went to Cite Europe to fill up with fuel and then headed to the Pet check-in at the tunnel.  Everything was fine with their passports, but one lady hadn’t timed her vets’ visit correctly and her dog wasn’t allowed to travel.  They told her that she had to go and see a vet here and made an appointment for her, but said they wouldn’t be able to travel until tomorrow.  And there has to be a minimum of 24 hours from seeing the vet, to the dog being able to travel, which means they won’t be going anywhere until tomorrow night.  Fingers crossed they can find somewhere to stay tonight!

Anyway our train is due to depart in 40 minutes and we should be home about 9pm.

We're home and I've just seen the very sad news that Blipper AirborneSkyGod has passed away at a very early age.  RIP Paul xx
