Wot?

It may not be immediately obvious, but this is a dog. A dog in a warm coat with a big turtle neck. Only his feets were cold. We've tried boots, but they don't stay on well enough to bother with. And anyway, it was only a very tiny bit of snow... 

Swee'pea, on the other hand, eschews the need for winter garb. She prefers it cold - the colder the better, it seems. I do have a coat for her but I'd only put it on if it gets into the single digits. And frankly, if it's that cold - we're unlikely to go for a walk!

I do think Bugsy looks silly - so he's my Silly Saturday blip for this week. 

Two extras - one is our creek out back - which is busy freezing over, and now has a bit of snow on it as well. I liked the light back there at about 4:00 this afternoon... And the other is the farm along the dirt road where we always walk - this morning. As you can see, it was just a dusting of snow. Enough, however, given how very cold it has been, to make the blacktop road very slippery early this morning when I had to go feed my friend's cat about a two miles away! I went very very slowly. It had all melted off by this afternoon when I went again.
