Torchlit

I joined the viewing throngs tonight as the torchlight procession moved, this year, down the Royal Mile, past the Scottish Parliament and into Holyrood Park. Crowd control might be an issue for future years as it became a bit crushed at points. But all good natured.

On the way into town I met a couple from Idaho and guided them on their way. They were here 2 years go and wanted to come back again for the festivities.

From the lower slopes of Salisbury Crags you got a good view of the river of torches - and the fireworks from Calton Hill.
