Every Time You Say Good Bye....

While we have been in Sunny Climes, Bean and Beau have also been on their holidays.

Fortunately I was not there to witness their evacuation.   It's a sight only the strong can bear.   They have to be prised into a box, and it's not pretty.  Legs askew, meowing and yowling.  They then howl all the way to the cattery.

Last time we picked them up, it was summer, and in a wee outside house, they heard us and the return cacophony commenced as soon as they spotted us.

We collected them as soon as possible today, and they yowled sadly all the way home.  We got into the house, and they both asked to go out the back door.   Then two minutes later back in the front door.  Then out the front door, and back in the back door.   This continued for approximately 6 hours.  in and out at least 2 times per hour.

They prowled the house, sniffing everything suspiciously.  They jumped up on beds, and window ledges, walked all over the furniture and then finally.

They settled.  One went to sleep here, and the other went to sleep on the bed.

Calm again, until the next time.
