Hellebore

The hellebores are going for it now. This one was an inexpensive garden centre buy and has turned out to be one of the most floriferous we have. It gets a bit nibbled by slugs, but it's lovely to have all these white flowers in January.

It was supposed to be sunny some of the day today, but in the event it's just been dull and occasionally rainy. A typical last day of the year.

I've just finished re-reading Great Expectations and am now feeling slightly at a loss after being immersed in it for the last few days. It's probably Wilkie Collins or Thomas Hardy next.
