New Year Dishes （OSECHI）

This is a special Japanese dishes for celebrating new year, Osechi.

Each ingredient shows our wish such happiness, longevity and prosperity. In my family, I have mad e OSECHI by myself for 36 years. In the past, every family in Japan mom made the Osechi. But now as the life style has changed, so many family get the osechi from Osechi makers as department store and famous Japanese restaurant as my daughter did.

This year three children have left home and become independent of us. So, the volume of our Osechi became one half. I miss them and celebrate new year with my husband and the sister -in-law.
