Sparkling

Alex and his sparkler forest! We'd a hard time holding him back until it got dark but by now the poppers had been popped, the assorted bangers had banged, the rockets had rocketed and the Roman candles had expired with a fairly desultory whoosh. Then it was on to see the bells in with S's mum; up on the 5th floor terrace, drinking bubbly, waving our own sparklers about and watching the fireworks going off for miles around. Oh and there were a lot of bells!
Home, not long in the door but the wine was poured when the neighbours came a knocking ..... so we first-footed them and finally managed to hit the sack before the church bells got going again! A great start to the year, here's hoping it continues. Happy New Year folks!!
