Clayhanger Tree

Location: Clayhanger Pools, Brownhills

Happy New Year to you all.

All indications were that the sunrise would be colourful, but it was not to be, with the faintest pink reflecting on the clouds in the distance soon snubbed out.  It was really frustrating given the large amounts of clear sky above.

I took the opportunity to explore the area and ended up standing in this shallow ditch, on my haunches taking this image.  In this area, trees are the most common thing to break the horizon.  Well OK, tower flats and electricity pylons also do the same thing but aren't really as photogenic.  

The rest of the day was dedicated to decorating, or rather removing an old fitted wardrobe and stripping wallpaper in preparation for a new colour scheme and wardrobes in our bedroom.  Tomorrow may not be that exciting an image as it will be a day of painting large areas of wall and ceiling.
