Softly Starting

Mono Monday with the theme of "Start".  There is a new bud starting on this rather old stalk of orchid flowers.  I don't understand this plant and it's blooming schedule, but it is beyond what I expected.  It seems to flower more often than not.  Another day at home with only short walks out with Myles.  He shivers and shakes after about 5 minutes.  His hound nose wants to explore in the snow and the woods, but his bare belly pulls him back inside rather quickly.  

Thanks to Skeena for hosting this month.  And wasn't that rising moon spectacular - pink and full here, but hard to photograph through the forest that is our yard.
