goodbye Christmas - hello Easter

Santa’s elves are busy taking down the entrance to his grotto.  The floor is covered with lights, tinsel and that most ubiquitous and invaluable of fastening systems - zip-ties.

And just to reinforce the point, when we go to the supermarket, the shelves that only a short while ago held mince pies and Christmas puddings are now full of hot cross buns.  

No trace remains of our yuletide favourites - they have simply vanished into thin air.  

One might be forgiven for thinking that we imagined them.  But proof of their existence - if it were at all needed - can be found on the bathroom scales.
