Mono Monday: Week 206 .......

.... start.

What better way to start the year than with a squirrel blip!!!

We also started the year with our 1st day walk .... this year we went to the Plainfield Rail Trail, which is fast becoming our new favorite place to walk. The terrain is flat and there is usually some wildlife present.  Today we saw Eastern grey squirrels (not the one above) and our first chippy .... see extra!! We also heard .... but didn't see .... a woodpecker of some sort and a belted kingfisher!

Also pictured in the extra is Junior in her new cat house/bed, which she got for Christmas.  We don't see her in it very often yet but I think she is starting to like it! 

So all in all ..... we had a fabulous start to our new year!
