Today's the day . . . . . . . . . . . . . . to blow

Because of their position at the western extremity of the Atlantic Ocean, the Hebrides are prone to suffer from gale force winds when the weather comes at them from the west.

The house that we are staying in at present once experienced winds so strong that they blew the actual windows into the upstairs bedroom - and shifted a partition wall back a few inches.  It was a big job to put things right.

Tonight we fly back to the mainland and we're hoping the wind will just give us a friendly push - in the right direction ...............................
