Today's the day .......................... to chill

We woke up to a very cold morning with thick frost on the car that Will had to scrape off before our drive south.

And even with a bright sun in the cloudless sky, the temperature hovered around zero for most of the journey.  It made the view from the top of Shap across to the frosty spine of the Pennines in PaulaandGordoncountry look very clear though.

More unfortunately, as I had turned the heating off when we left, the temperature of the inside of our house had plummeted to a mere 10 degrees - so it was very chilly in there too.  And although the heating has been on ever since we arrived back, it seems to be taking an inordinate amount of time to warm up ...........................
