Rare croc spotted on Itchen tributary ...

At the beginning of September I posted a blip about walking along the River Lea in Ware, Hertfordshire. There was speculation about a crocodile on the loose.
Here is the Winchester version. I can't find any reports of wildlife going missing so this could be a vegetarian. I believe these are usually found in pairs but there was no sign of its partner.
We missed a good walk last weekend so today we decided to make the effort. Rather than drive we walked from home and walking through a beech tree lined avenue up towards Bushfield Camp then down into St Cross, along the Itchen into town and then back up the Romsey Road under what was mostly blue sky. According to the app on my phone just over 6 miles and a lovely way to spend a couple of hours. As we crossed one of the little bridges jane noticed the croc. It made us laugh so it seems like a good one to add to the journal.
