Spray

What a difference a day makes! Yesterday we had spectacular lighting in between showers, and today it is dull and grey and wet with a good measure of strong winds thrown in. :(

This is one of two pictures taken today - both within seconds of each other on the M25. I wanted to record the not-so-favourable weather I've experienced this winter. For some reason, I can't remember it raining at Christmas time before, though I'm sure it must have!

The day started early, with Tracy the (window) cleaner calling in with her daughter for a cup of tea and chat. I took the opportunity to do the last wash while we caught up on each others' news. Washing hung, we raced out to Bromley to see friends David & Eileen again before we leave. They have helped us loads this Christmas and it was great to see them again. We also called into two specialist shops close to their home.

Back to Guildford and we stopped at Tesco for "last things", one of which had to be a new bottle of cough syrup as I have already finished the one bought on Saturday with little improvement. The evening was spent getting things ready to leave. Can't believe how fast the time has gone.
