Witch hazel

I saw this witch hazel with a tiny bit of yellow on it about ten days ago, and now it's covered. Always a very early sign of spring, more a sign of the New Year, I suppose.

The extra photo is of a hellebore - another New Year flower. And I did also see some snow drops, but couldn't get close enough for a blip.
