Cracroft Plains - Day 8
Morning dawned bright and sunny which was a nice change after the last few days! Took out the camera and tried to dry it in the wind. The path was good and made good progress, covering 14km in 4 hours! We caught up with Ned, and we leap-frogged each-other the 12km back to Scott's Peak. Weather turned in as the afternoon progressed and got quite cold. We passed 5 groups heading out along the Port Davey track. We must have looked very down and out having just walked 20+km in the wind and showers. Tried to give them some useful advice but after the first 3 groups we just wanted to get back. Tired, and hungry, we made dinner, then crawled into the car to go to sleep. 27km, 500m, 8hours
