Wombat Wattle!

We were greeted by a wonderful display of Wattle when we returned from Wombat Bend on Wednesday. It’s amazing to think that there are almost 1000 species of Wattle in Australia alone. This is a very different flower to the one that was out in all its glory over winter.

We had a catch up day today and took it pretty easy really. I did venture into the veggie patch late in the afternoon and was thrilled to see that it had survived our two week vacation. Apparently our new neighbours had very kindly ensured the birds were well watered and the veggies got a drink as well. We do live in a very nice community :)
