Singing their hearts out........

.......the most beautiful, pure sound. These three blue wrens were in full voice as they flitted in and out of the branches. 

This morning there were so many of the small birds around  - we have never seen so many and they hung around for ages!! I was very lucky to get these three on the same branch as they are so fast. I don't know if these were females or juvenile males.
 There were robins, fantails and spinebills as well as the larger parrots and galahs. It was noisy :)

Anyway, after over 4 hours in the car, we are back in town. We were forced to detour as there was a double fatality on the main highway in the south west. It took so long............
