You wouldn’t believe that this calm looking beach can be treacherous but it can. In fact, two days ago there was no way I would have ventured into the water. The waves were ginormous and there were rips everywhere.

Today - sublime until the wind came up at about 11:00. We do lose a number of people in the ocean here, sadly mostly tourists who have absolutely no idea of the hidden dangers.

I’m tagging this for Silly Saturday because the sign may seem silly on a day like today and people can be silly if they don’t heed the warnings on the sign!!
