A bitter pill?

When you have a baby you wonder why no one tells you what it is really like to have a baby. Likewise, at the other end of the spectrum no one tells you what the menopause is really like. Others have hot flushes, palpitations. I have achy joints. I mean really really achy joints. If you're certain age and go to see the doctor, it doesn't take long for them to suggest the menopause as the reason for every cough, hiccup and ache. Maybe it is, maybe it isn't, who knows? 

So today I applied my first HRT patch, supplemented by fish oils and something reassuringly called 'Menopause Support'. Now I'm just going to sit back and awake the miracle I have been promised.....
