Even after all the torrential rain, the shield bug, or this one, the green, still lives! Happily posing here on this knapweed leaf in the sunshine, yes, sunshine, even though it's chucking it down again now. When the sun was out today, it was warm, but not one butterfly, they've all gone... which is so sad... even the robust red admiral couldn't cope with that flood! Finger's crossed he'll return!

I've been working so hard today, my day of rest as turned into frantic, especially now I have a cold, or the beginnings of one, so need to do a lot before it gets any worse. Studio time again, photography time, gardening time... oh want bedtime now, but soon am going to be enjoying the programme of 'Downton Abbey' time - once a week... yet the weeks are flying by, has anyone noticed that? ! :) xxx
