Crocus tournefortii, which was the subject of my first ever blip on 7th October 2011. This time flowering in the garden where it has survived with nil TLC for many years.

In rainy Sheringham to visit an old friend this afternoon. An old friend, Jack was born ninety-nine years ago. At first he struggled to recall who we were - we don't visit often enough :( But we were soon sharing his memories of times gone by, including of the house in Norwich where he was born. The furthest he goes these days is the short walk to the seafront ...... while we often pass the house where he started out.
