Frozen

A beautiful morning so we all ventured out in the icy weather for a walk. We went to Loch Kinellan near Strathpeffer. The path was frozen solid but luckily we were able to walk on the frozen grass and made our way along the Loch. It was beautiful, almost completely frozen which meant that the ducks were all gathered together at one end where a burn enters the water. Lots of wigeon, tufted ducks, two mute and one young Whooper swan and a golden eye. The birds took off at one point and came back in to land which was tricky for them as they slid on the ice.
We had fun skimming stones on the surface which made an amazing sound.
Mike,Richard and David continued to walk all the way round while I sat in the sun and watched the birds and then made my back the way I came.
