The bride at Merkinch
So hard to choose a blip today but I’m not likely to see a beautiful bride with a kilt wearing bridegroom and cute dog, at Merkinch again so here you are. We had just started to walk along the path when we walked by a man looking very smart wearing a kilt walking his dog. Did nt really think much of it , it’s not that usual up here but as we walked further I glanced round And then saw the bride. The dog was very excited about seeing her and I think they were trying to stop it jump up.The light was just right but only for a while before it disappeared for a while and with a snow covered mountain and icy sea as a backdrop the photos would be a lovely reminder of their special day.
We carried on our walk along a frosty rather than icy path. The tide was coming in quickly. We walked to the canal where most of it was covered in a layer of ice. A train went by as the herons stood on guard. Red shanks skated on the pond, wigeon called to each other, a flock of golden eye flew in front of us and a murder of crows were busy pecking
about in the seaweed.
