Croatiaaa!

So we're thinking about going to Croatia for our honeymoon, and the travel guide I ordered came today...it's so exciting! I think this going to be the most enjoyable bit of wedding planning.

Ahh the joys of back-blipping, in this instance forgetting how traumatic this evening actually was! After yesterday not being that great a day, today I had hoped for better. Started the day by missing my train...good start. However Alastair took me to Edinburgh so I was able to make my connection as normal. The day went fairly well, but as I walked towards the train station, I noticed a train pulling in. Not wanting to have to wait for the next one, I made a run for it, missing it by seconds. Sat and waited for the next one, only to find when almost in Edinburgh that my train pass was missing, which I had presumed had fallen out of my bag running for the train. I phoned Alastair, who during our conversation asked me for the time, I then realised that my watch was missing. I was quite frustrated at having lost my train pass but not that bothered, however when I realised my watch had fallen out my bag too I was struggling not to blub in front of the other passengers! Got straight back on a train to Livingston to look for my watch, only to get there (having only been 50 mins) to find my pass and watch were gone but the hairband also in the front pocket of my bag was lying in the middle of the pavement, I was absolutely devastated :(

Alastair picked me up and we went back to the flat, got in to find my travel guide (cheered me up a bit) and another letter, which turned out to be a notice of potential selection for jury duty - great! Just what I need in my final year of university and trying to get a job and getting married! Was by this point rather fed up, so we decided to order pizza as it was 8 by the time we got back and I wasn't up for cooking and needed a bit of cheering up (let's ignore the dairy-free thing!) However even THAT wouldn't go to plan, an hour and 45 mins, two phone calls, and an apology from the manager and £10 credit later, we eventually had our pizza after the delivery driver refused to deliver anything! On the up side, we paid £7 for £35 worth of pizza...
