Carpe Diem.

So a tree needs to fall before we know how old it is. While I enjoyed trying to count the rings (I lost count and the will to live by 77!), I found myself thinking, the tree has lived through so much of modern history. If it could talk what would it offer me from all its experience, by way of new year wisdom? I guess it would be, "Don't wait until I'm fallen to recognise me and what I do"! So, today, why don't you make a point of thanking someone for what they mean to you, what they represent, who they are. Don't leave it too long as therein lies regret and remorse. Carpe Diem!
