Sleepy Molly

Dear Diary,

I have lots of Mourning Doves that come to feed but only Molly and Malcolm will sit on the porch and not fly away the minute I approach the door.  For some reason they feel safe.  Molly felt so safe that she fell asleep!  Now, full disclaimer here, I really can't tell the difference between Molly and Malcolm.  It could be two Molly's or two Malcolm's but it doesn't matter.  Since Mourning Doves mate for life, I just assume they are a "couple".

We had a great deal of melting yesterday and it continues today with rain.  They say we may even get to the low 50's!  I won't get too excited though as we will be back into the deep freeze on Saturday.  Our January thaws never last too long.
