Rangitaiki River.....

......is Bay of Plenty's longest river, wide with a good current, passing through the the towns of Murupara and Edgecumbe before joining the Pacific Ocean at Thornton.

It doesn't matter where one travels within the Bay, Whale Island is never far away and this trip seems to be in many of my shots. The river is brown and murky due the weather bomb which lashed New Zealand, great to see those heavy clouds making way for some sun at last. 

A peaceful wintry scene, nice to feel the sun on ones back :)
