As sun sets.....

......the path of the Whakatane river is gently lit with golden light as it flows through the township. It's quiet, sitting here on the hill as my eyes skim a landscape which was home for my childhood years and I know so well. Behind me is native bush where fantails are flitting catching moths and the call of bellbirds echo through the stillness of the air. The views up here are expansive in all directions, magnificent in all lights. 

Today is our last day as tomorrow we fly home, it's been a wonderful holiday, just seems right to see the sun set here on my homeland.
