Looking north from Mt Isobel, Hanmer Springs

We went to Hanmer Springs today to see the NPSNZ 'Wings' exhibition at the Hanmer Library, but picked a fine day to fit in a walk too. This shot is taken from the top of Mt Isobel, just behind the township. There was fresh snow just a day or so ago, and even though it is melting fast, there was still some left. I think it looks better in black and white, because the light was fairly harsh and the colours distracted from the composition.
