Re-construction

Our fastest walking route to the estuary is down on of the steepest roads in Christchurch, Maffey's Road, which has been closed to traffic due to earthquake damage. After months of nothing happening, we noticed this morning that it was hard to get through even of foot, and that construction had started on fixing the road. It looks worse initially because the first step was to remove the existing collapsed retaining wall. The few remaining Maffey's Road residents will be happy when they can again exit from the bottom of their road.
