That Burning in Your Heart
Ever have one of those moments as a photographer where you are so taken away by a scene that you forget you have a camera in your hand? I do often. There is a part of me that doesn't want to leave its beauty with my eyes. Not for one second. You loose a little of the purity and freshness of the vision when you go through the motion of lifting a camera to your eye and then becoming mechanical and calculated. Its almost as if you disrespect nature's majesty and virginity. Or disturbing the sanctity of its creator.
Trust me I took as much of this sunset in as I could before my sentimental heart took over...the side of me that knew it was something I wanted to preserve and see again. Then I made a sign of the cross. Forgive me Father.
