Snow

We have had about 7 inches of snow, but the border region of Scotland has had much more.  Dreadful tales of people being stranded for hours on the M74, the main route south.  Our town has been fine, although a lot of our activities have been cancelled as a result of the snow.  Better to be safe than sorry.

Today I should have been out to lunch with the Wednesday girls, but it would have proved difficult to get to the Golf Clubhouse we had chosen; main roads are quite passable but some side roads are difficult to get out and in, and this would have been the case with us, so we decided to cancel.  Forecast is for more snow overnight, so we'll see what the morning brings.  

I did go down to the town centre and did some banking, and visited the library among other things, better to get out for a bit.  

I thought the garden looked pretty this evening as the light faded, and this is my blip for the day.
