Fears Unfounded
We needn't have worried about our drive to Edinburgh today. Just a sprinkling of snow fell overnight. We slithered for a hundred yards or so till we got to the ploughed road, and then all was plain sailing, so to speak.
The sun shone in town, and it was very pleasant walking ( though there were still icy patches here and there). This redundant church at Morningside Station had a look of Italy about it - and not just because it is now a branch of Pizza Express. The sky really was that blue!
