Edinburgh Castle

A day spent travelling north of the border. We are in Edinburgh for a weekend of Orienteering organised by the University Orienteering club. Tomorrow is an urban course around the old town. Fortunately the start is not too far away from where we are staying.

We had a wander this evening to loosen the limbs after a day of travelling by bus and train. I had to ramp up the ISO for the floodlit castle. A slightly ghostly figure in the foreground was the result. The pavements were beginning to ice over as we returned to the hotel. Just hope that it thaws for the starts tomorrow!
