One I made earlier

With a busy day, lousy weather and a dark night before I got home, I was glad I didn't use bananas last week.

Although it's been a busy day it has been very productive so all is well.

A lovely email today has resulted in a good challenge to get a 5 mile course measured for a local race on Sunday. The usual course is flooded and the race organiser is concerned the water won't reduce enough.

So he has made a difficult decision early and because his email was expressed so well I'm going to do everything I can to provide an accurate course for him.

I've seen him tonight and his gratitude showed me I've done the right thing.

It's a far cry from the email I once received on a Friday that read:
"I've got a 10K organised for Sunday and it needs measuring. Meet me at the start at 2 tomorrow!"

Just one snag: my calibration strip is under water at the moment, but hey, that's just a detail.

I'm on my bike tomorrow and there's rain forecast. First bike ride in ages. I can't wait.
