Great Spotted Woodpecker

It rained most of the day but I had to go to Bishop’s Stortford to host a Mensa meeting in Waterstones café. I went to Café Thyme first intending to have coffee and cake, but then saw that the gluten-free quiche was still on the menu. It was so good on Wednesday that I had some more; this one was equally delicious.
 
A good Mensa meeting, with a new person attending and although we are usually quite a small group, the conversation is good.
 
Today’s picture is of one of our Great Spotted Woodpeckers; looks as though the feeders are empty again, thanks mainly to the squirrels and the starlings.
