Is This The Way To Amaryllis?

We made a trip to Darlington to see Mother In Law as it has been a while since we were last up there.

We were surprised to see that her Amaryllis plant ,which was potted up last time we were there, has shot up and produced this fabulous array of flowers.

We did some laundry for her and had lunch there - but our visit was cut short by a sudden and extremely heavy snow shower, and weather warnings were in force.  She lives out in the sticks a bit and we didn’t want to get snowed in.

The drive home was ‘interesting’ - the snow had quickly turned to rain which meant the local roads were slushy / icy and on the A1 lane 3 was covered in snow / slush. One vehicle attempted to use it and very nearly came a cropper. Lost the back end and got in a bit of fishtail…he soon moved back to lane two!

Added an extra I spotted this morning whilst out - an example of extreme incompetence off-roading for this Land Rover :-)
