Every Now & Then...

... blip has its own special differences.

I haven't done one of my historical comparison blips for a couple of months but, with dismal weather, it seemed like a good idea today.

On first impression the scene does not appear to have changed much in the 89 years since the original shot was taken. The buildings have changed little and the war memorial is in the same place. But if the car in the original picture was to drive down there today it would cause chaos. That is now a one way street in the opposite direction.
