Mirror, Mirror .................

Spent some time with the MIL this morning.
The morphine pump seems to be working, she has had some nurishment and is drinking a bit as well as not having the severe pain that she was before it was fitted.
The blip (and extra) is the carving on top of very fine, old burr walnut wardrobe door in the room the MIL is in at the moment.
The palliative care team are hoping to get a hospital bed in there tomorrow until a hospice place is available so the watcher may have to leave her to make a bit more room.

SWMBO and I went to her flat after seeing her and removed a load of baking stuff, biscuits, cakes etc and required paperwork.
It will have to be cleared in the not too distant future (no point in paying rent on somewhere that will not be getting used).
I also took her car back to our house where it can be started and given runs to keep things tip top until it can be sold. It also frees up a much needed space for the care home.

This afternoon I took Bags through to Glasgow for her operation to remove a wisdom tooth (too complex and risky for a standard dental practice. I have to go back and collect her tomorrow and a 'care rota' has to be arranged for her for a couple of days as well since she will not be able to drive and is not to be left unsupervised (a wise move given her history of bad reactions to anaesthetics - which she gets from her mother).

SWMBO has had the job of ferrying the monsters about between French lessons and Brownies and is having a sleep over at their house to allow their father to get off to work on time (which is before they get up for school).
There may be a lot of toing and froing for me tomorrow morning if PD arrives.
