Up on the Roof

Good to get back to my ballet class after missing the first two sessions after the Christmas break.
Really feeling it now.
Long soak in the bath is my best remedy.
Have done all previous lessons in the large studio but we have been relegated to a smaller one on the fifth floor.
This is because the Northern Ballet Company are back in house after touring throughout Autumn and over Christmas.
So we ladies of a certain age rub shoulders with them in the lifts, cafe and rest rooms!
What they think of us l can’t imagine!
Both granddaughters have danced up at the top of the building and always tell me l would photograph a good view over some of Leeds City Centre.
They were right and today l grabbed my chance.
There are four silver domes to the right that are the spires of Leeds indoor market.
If you look behind the tiny bright buses there is the open market where Michael Marks , a polish refugee opened a stall with a sign saying, “Don’t ask the price , it’s a penny”.
He then moved into the indoor market .
He went on to form a partnership with a certain Mr Spencer and the rest as they say is history...
